Art Reflection

I do not consider myself to be particularly artistic. My art over the semester is mediocre at best, and my work ethic leaves much to be desired. I enjoyed making collages. The floral impressionist project was really hard. My piece doesn't look anything like the original work. In fact, it doesn't look like anything at all.

Dimes for Dancers

Our art class created giant dimes for a dance routine in a musical production about the depression.
Here I am working on one:

Floral Impressionism

For this project, the idea was to take a painting and recreate it using flowers. What you see here is a poor attempt to capture William Turner's The Burning of the House of Parliament, here:

Presidential Portraits

These are poor sketches of the presidential candidates of 2012. I hope you enjoy them.

Worship the Phone

This project was meant as a collage that would make some sort of political commentary. My piece doesn't necessarily have anything to say about politics, but it does say something about our phone addicted culture.

Nowhere

This project is a tourist guide book to my hometown San Diego. It is meant to be artsy, and therefore not really helpful as a guide. It is, however meant to convey the spirit of an area. This is my take on that region. Please do not take offense if you live there.
Nostalgia

This project was called accentuate the positive. I took a magazine page and blocked out part of the image with paint to give the page meaning. I mean to convey being tied down to the past. Being chained to your own personal history.
